I like your criteria, but would change your grades as follow-
1- would be a D
2- would be a C grade-average at best
3- this is a B, and I would argue the minimum level to retain a coach
4- “A” grade in the current college football landscape. I feel this is BYUs current ceiling with 10 wins and top 25 finish. This is where I feel the expectation should be to extend a coach.
5- A+ I don’t think I could ever expect BYU to win the Conf year to year. If they did it would be a surprise. I have 0 expectations for a playoff spot let alone a win. That would be amazing and definitely a bit of luck involved!
