Our HS calls anyone with 4.0 or above (weighted) a valedictorian. 30-40/yr
Crazy. I don't think that word means what they think it means. My HS called the highest GPA valedictorian. For us, it was 4.4 (honors/AP courses were weighted). Sometimes there were 3-4 with perfect GPAs, but that's fine I guess.
