Slim to no chance of that happening. No way a 2-loss Tulane team makes the
playoff ahead of a 2-loss Big 12 conference champion.
I get that you are simply asking the question because Tulane is 1 spot ahead of BYU in the AP poll and 2 spots ahead of them in the coaches' poll. But BYU winning the conference championship would involve beating either #14 Arizona St. or #17 Iowa St., while Tulane would be beating #25 Army. The point is, I think that the committee would elevate an 11-2 BYU team to be ahead of an 11-2 Tulane team.
