players in to change up the look you’re giving the defense you aren’t up tempo anymore. Limiting the amount of looks you’re giving the defense makes you more predictable.
Additionally, as others have said it can also put your defense in a bad spot.
I don’t hate the idea of doing more tempo because clearly Jake is comfortable with it but it’s not a silver bullet.
Mostly I just want to see a commitment to a downhill running game. We have the backs and tight ends to do it and Jake throwing INTs seems to be our Achilles heel as an offense, so you’d think we would be more committed to running the ball. We go away from it too quickly IMO.
