I would guess the family are coming from somewhere and that is the time they
are arriving at the new house.
Everyone can do what they want but honestly recording the game and helping for 1 hour and then going home and watching is really not a big deal. I have done that tons and there have been times I couldn't watch until that night.
FF though the commercials etc. and if you start an hour, you easily catch up by start of 2nd half.
