The BYU game with Ole Miss is scheduled for the end of the month around Thanksgiving - which is when Dallin Hall is supposed to be back. The big question is whether he is able to really practice and "gel with" the other players and the offense prior to that game.
I mention Hall because he is a pretty high-IQ player at this point in running the offense. My guess would be that, aside from Demin, he would be the player most able to help us run good offense and adjust to defensive sets in this new Kevin Young system. However, he won't have the luxury of trying it out in games against a variety of opponents like Egor will have done by then. We might get some benefit from him at that point . . . but I'm not putting my eggs in that basket.
Instead, with just two games prior to Ole Miss but some good practice time, I think we will still be finding our way in that Ole Miss game. It won't be our smooth offensive cohesion that helps us most in that Ole Miss game, I would suggest, but instead we will rise or fall in that game based more on athleticism, taking care of the ball, grit, and defensive consistency. If we give up a lot of easy baskets and threes, that will give us a likely loss vs. Ole Miss. If we do the other things, I think we have the ability to do some damage inside with Keita and Fouss and also get enough 3-point shooting that we can win.
