to hurry up the pace if they believe the defense has had more than enough time to sub, and 25 seconds was WAAAAAYYYYYYYY than more than enough time to sub.
Many of our subs were not that late and the refs should have been holding Utah to a tighter standard than they did. At one point I watched Utah slow jog their sub out and then all 12 guys sat there for a few more seconds until we broke our huddle. Once we approached the line, then their man began the slow jog off.
The refs, and this is in the rule book, can determine that the man has had more than enough time to slow jog his butt off the field and stop standing over the ball. On multiple occasions we should have had the chance to snap the ball with Utah having 12 men on the field. Kalani and other opposing HCs need to start harping on this with the refs to do their job.
If you read the rules, Utah isn't abiding by the rules. But if the refs aren't holding Utah to the rules, is it cheating?
