That's a good thought - IR temperature gun showed the pan was 500F for 3 hours per cycle
so I think it's good. Would you suggest going hotter or longer?

If you want to "reset" your cast iron you could put a steel disc brush on an angle grinder. After I cook with cast iron

Just sand it with 300 grit and then reseason. From then on clean it with chainma

I've seen videos of people sanding down their cast iron pans to a mirror finish and then re-seasoning them
