He lived far away from the city and actually trained wild animals for a living so he is probably the only type of person
That could be trusted to be responsible with a cat that big. He injured his back later from a car accident and realized he couldn’t take care of Sampson as both got older. I am glad it worked out but that cat was smart. Sampson was like a big old house cat but like a house cat his claws could do damage (in a much more severe way) even when not used defensively.

Unless someone was a professional wild animal trainer I wouldn’t recommend having a big cat as a pet.
