Last year their defense gave up an average of 19.3 points per game.

This year their defense is giving up an average of 16.4 points per game.

So they are losing games while their defense is giving up fewer points per game than before the sign stealing thing even came out.

Nah - they are losing games because they are bad on offense. And I haven't read reports anywhere of teams stealing signs to increase their offensive output. I'm not saying they couldn't or wouldn't - I'm saying no one is making accusations of teams stealing defensive signs to help their offense improve.

I think it's silly to attribute this to one variable - stealing signs. Especially when you can attribute it to them just sucking in a lot of ways.
