Just threw the ball up randomly towards two guys. That's not at all what happened.

The play was designed to get Jojo open but Lassiter ended up being the one to break free so Retzlaff hit him perfectly in stride right as he broke. It wasn't some sort of prayer of a throw.

Some of the misconception comes from Lassiter saying he wasn't sure if the ball was going to him when Jake was throwing...that's because he knew the play was designed for Jojo but Lassiter obviously wasn't watching Jojo. Jojo did not end up getting open so the obvious correct read was to Lassiter.

None of it was an accident or a prayer of a throw into open space. It was a perfectly timed strike right to Lassiter's chest...and if it wasn't s perfect strike in stride then Lassiter isn't able to bring that to the house
