I think NIL has been a factor. Are we ready to offer the big $$$$ to haul-in a 5* QB? I would venture to guess that Retzlaff is getting less NIL money than most other QBs in the BIG12. We may have to up the NIL to keep Jake next year. You hate to have to rely on developing 2 and 3 star QBs every year but at least Arod seems he can develop QBs to be good players.
