Jeff Hansen refers to a stat that's "total available yards"
It's basically a stat that shows what percentage of available yards BYUs offense gains. So if we get a pick on the opponents 20, and we score a quick 20 yard TD, that's 100% of available yards gained.
It's a much more telling stat that just "total yards". I'm not sure where Jeff pulls those numbers from but I'd be super curious how that stat looks so far this year

It's fair to criticize BYU's 3rd down conversion rate, but otherwise they have been solid if not stellar.
