Most likely: A random intern is writing and publishing many of the stories as
assigned by a manager making $64K/year and they have no idea how much they're publishing about each school and in no way track it.
The chances that any ESPN brass told them how many stories to produce about a school like BYU isn't reasonable, if you know how a newsroom works.
