Yeah, unfortunately people do this kind of thing all the time. My good friend
Had a kid walk in front of his car in the middle of the night a few years ago. The kid broke his leg, and had some other minor injuries, but the cops and the kids father -at the time- assigned blame to the kid walking in the middle of an unlit road for the accident. Fast forward a few years and my buddy gets served by this kid for over $100,000 lawsuit. The kid lost, but the point is; people may feel one way at the time of the incident, and change their mind later. Always cover your bases.
