Lenovo is a spinoff straight from IBM
In fact.. still uses IBM Financial Services and Business Care. It's a very good machine, with very good support in my experience so far.
Sorry, I don't have a year under my belt on Lenovo yet, we used to be a Dell shop, now migrating to Lenovo after a long RFP and Demo battle in our lab between Dell, Lenovo, and Gateway.
We abandoned HP during the Carly Fiorina debacle and aquisition of Compaq.
