That Utah has 5 remaining games on the schedule that they not guaranteed wins. The Utes aren’t even favored in all 5 of those matchups (@UCF). Given Utahs propensity to lose 3-4 games a year, odds are that the lose 2 to 3 of those games. So we’ll see if the Shrutes control their own destiny after 5 talented teams have their say. The Answer, I seriously doubt it

@ Az State : a talented ASU team playing well under the lights at Sun Devil stadium? Whitt is going to have his hands full although Cam Rising should finally be ready to start again. Will Cam Rising finish the game? Depends on if Rising is better at evading ASUs relentless blitzes than he is at dodging Gatorade coolers? If the Shrutes sleep on ASU like they did Arizona or Issac Wilson has to finish up with the ASU linebackers in his face all evening, pencil this one in as a loss.

Can the Padowan dethrone the Dark Lord? Depends on how well Retzlaff plays and if Isaac Wilson starts seeing ghosts again as BYUs defensive lineman and linebackers chase him all over the field

Not even if Cam Rising returns can he out duel Prime’s kid and his friends in Boulder. If Rising gets tangled up in the cord to his headset, falling and breaking an appendage, he’ll be listed as a game time decision thus forcing Isaac Wilson to play the game of his life if the Shrutes have a hope of not losing by more than 20, on the road.

Maybe the Shrutes have a chance if Rising is still able to play. But the chances of Cam Rising still being vertical after the pounding that he is going to absorb from @ASU, TCU, BYU, and @CU is pretty minimal. With the Shrutes sub-par pass protection widely exposed and Issac Wilson now seeing ghosts everywhere, he is completely ineffective at moving the ball at against ISU through the air, Utah racks up 72 yards of total offense vs ISUs 365 rushing yards. @ UCF in Orlando
With just 6 days between games and a trek across 3 time zones, The Shrutes Defense, knowing what is about to happen, spends Friday night drinking themselves into oblivion at Disney World. As feared the Shrute defenders are 2 yards behind the UCF receivers all afternoon and the UCF linebackers are in Utah’s backfield almost every play. The Shrutes QB4 has to finish the game as utah losses 42 to 3 and KWhitt coaches his last game.
