Refs have pivoted back from overcalling PI and defensive holding to not calling
much at all.

I like it, for the the most part, although it feels like on the short cross patterns and the defender is now definitely allowed to use the off arm to their advantage and pull the WR. This gives the DB a slingshot effect of pulling the WR back and using that leverage to get in front of the WR and more easily deflect the ball with the free hand. That off hand used to be called all the time, not it seems to be not called at all.
