Ferrin is a really good kicker. But that run play on 3rd & 7 felt like a concession in that situation and that we were settling for a 50 yard FG. You simply can't do that with college kickers, you've gotta try to get that first down.

The play call itself on the 3rd & 2 wasn't terrible, but the fact that we'd just gotten 8 yards on two consecutive running plays made me question why we didn't lean into the run game on that 3rd Down after struggling with it so much in the 2nd half. Or at least use a hard play action to help capitalize on the success we'd seen on the previous two plays.
