He dominated the ball way too much as "the PG" — & stagnated our offense cuz he didn't have the handles to break defenses down from the perimeter at will. He WAITED for his opportunities. And in the meantime his teamates mostly stood around or set screens for him. (Or waited for his lil dump pass for the layup.)
Really, what KC needed — was (1) more talented teammates — largely to put him in his place (like was his situation as a true Frosh), (2) Big 12 level competition (that would've helped him give up on the PG dream of his), & (3) a HC who woulda laid into him harder regarding his role on the team.
Skylar Halford SHOULD'VE touched the ball much more than he did during KC's rein. KC would've been a LOT more effective had he used his remarkable skillset off-the-ball a lot more than he did (NOT to mention setting screens for his mates on occasion.)
