It's the play design. ARod purposely put the safety in a bind where he has
to hold his position as two receivers are entering his zone on opposite sides. This keeps the safety stuck in the middle, unable to commit to either one before the ball is released.
The throw to Chase, while not necessarily elite in the physical difficulty, is elite in the timing of it. There's only a split second window to release that ball to be completed before the safety can get there. Jake hit that window.
