It’s a sort of prisoner’s dilemma. If one more team goes to the PAC, the MWC then needs two teams to qualify as a
conference under the NCAA. The new PAC is better than the MWC and the only reason the MWC is strong is solidarity. USU broke that. If one more team bails, the MWC is screwed. You don’t want to be the last on the sinking ship.
