There are probably 10's of thousands of BYU fans who, if they lived nearby, wouldn't miss this game for the world. Fans
that live nearby, and have the means but don't go because of comfort, come across as pretty soft frankly. I guess it's human nature to take things for granted because it's not a sacrifice.
I live in SEC and ACC country, and comfort isn't a high priority if you love your team. Going to the Swamp in early September when the Gators are struggling is definitely not comfortable, lol. But everyone still lives and breathes it.
