PFF's writers basically came on Criddle every week talking about Jake being the reason BYU lost the last 2 games and why they got destroyed by WVU and ISU. They had him rated as basically not worthy of being a D1 player let alone a D1 starter. PFF really liked Slovis last season and really liked Bohanon at USF to the point of them seriously questioning why he wasn't the day 1 starter at BYU over Retzlaff who they really disliked
