(including our offensive coordinator) who say they aren't as concerned with 3rd down conversion percentage as they are with percentage combined on 3rd and 4th downs as many times they use 3rd down to set up a 4th down attempt. And the point I was trying to make was simply that while doing that may improve the numbers slightly, it doesn't make as big as an impact as one might think.
