He was contacted by BYU when he was in HS. Probably because he's LDS. He says he never heard from BYU again. He walked on at Wyoming. He was undersized but he's worked hard and put on a lot of muscle and weight. He is on scholarship now.

He never hesitates to say how much he hates BYU. Says all the players and fans hate BYU. Might be an exaggeration. But if you've ever been to a game in Laramie you'd believe it. They hate BYU and always have.
