Not taking anything away from those teams, but by virtue of playing weaker conferences, it was obviously easier for them to win more games
SMU isn't a better team than those (by any stretch) but, as mentioned, is very unlikely to end up with 11+ wins this year after drastically increasing the difficulty of their schedule
