I had a 3.8 oz Cocoon ultralight pillow that I liked pretty well, but I didn’t feel like I was getting as good of a night’s sleep as I could have on my backpacking trips.
I generally go pretty light, and am hesitant to add any bulk or weight.
With that said, after last weekend’s trip, the new 9.2 oz NEMO Fillo pillow is here to stay. Despite its increased bulk and weight, the foam inside it is worth it to me, because it doesn’t feel like I’m sleeping on a pool toy.
The fine folks over at Cleverhiker recommended the Fillo, and I’m generally satisfied with their recs.
Hope that helps. Happy trails!
