Iirc you posted a couple of times about not being impressed with his game that you watched(his first start against JMU)?

I've watched most of his passes from that gm(all 3 ints, etc) and I perceived it very differently than you. He was extremely impressive imo, especially considering AF & JMU were his first gms and he had only 3rd team reps for fall camp and first 2 weeks of season before playing. The int that hit his TE perfectly in his two hands before he was hit(had his hands/arms up to catch but a D1 TE must make that catch nearly every time).

His first two gms:
AF: 18-27 202 yds 3 TD 0 Int 166 PER & 7 rush 6 yds
JMU: 25 of 47 399 yds 4 TD 3 140 PER & 6 -26 rush yds



There were comments that his production dipped after he missed a week due to concussion & iirc a leg injury, so IDK?

I'm not certain that's he's our ultimate answer at QB(more specifically, would become a BYU Top 10 QB caliber type), but it's very possible that he progresses past any other of our current QB by last 1/3 of the season(once he's more familiar with offense).
