I think 30 yrs ago you could win games with a careless gunslinger at QB turning the ball over 3-4 times a game at BYU because we were in the WAC and had better talent, coaching and scheme than most teams we played.

That's not the case anymore, we've stepped up a couple levels in the Big12 and are near the bottom of the league when it comes to the level of talent we're recruiting compared to other teams In the conference. Our margin for error is considerably slimmer.
