Jennings wasn't the "backup", they were co-#1 QBs
The other issue, I'm not sure Stone would have ever done as well as Jennings last night. The defense had a great game plan for him, and I think Stone got happy feet anytime he was in the pocket.
That is one thing I'll give Retslaff credit for, while he made his mistakes he was able to "forget" them and keep playing, unlike Stone.
