If you get a wireless one (not Bluetooth), don't plug the dongle in a USB3 port (blue)
It interferes with the frequency of the dongle and you'll get intermittent issues. If you only have USB3 ports, use a short USB2 cord to get it away from the USB3 port.
Hopefully your computer is all USB-C anyway, so that wouldn't be an issue.
