The alternative is premature death.
I had a quad 4 years ago; no damage to the muscle but the arteries kept narrowing.
Over a 16-year period, I had a total of 5?stents inserted but ultimately there is only so much hardware that can be fitted in that space.
I spent 3 nights in ICU and 2 in a regular room.
After a couple of weeks my strength had returned to where I could walk 1/2 mile, at the gym (it was tough going).
It took me a full 6 months to completely recover; I was in our yard and suddenly realized that I felt great.
Hang in there. We live in incredible times that cardiac bypass surgery is available.
