You don’t “squeeze” for someone you don’t want. And you can of course ask teams to take a smaller share. Just like the B1G did to Oregon and Washington and just like the Big12 did to last year’s new additions. The B1G “squeezed” for those schools. It doesn’t mean they weren’t great brands/products.

Notice Utah didn’t have to take a partial share. Why? Because they were wanted badly enough that it wasn’t worth making that an issue.
