While BYU's offer (when NIL is factored, anyway) — is possibly his best sure deal. (One where he could decide tomorrow & be a Cougar, if he so chose.)

Maybe I'm wrong on that, but that's the sorta developmental recruit he strikes me as. He's not a leave-early talent as either a skill player or an athlete, but he's the sorta relentless, mobile, disruptive big who could lead you to a Final Four as an upperclassman. And he's got just enough talent, I'm sure lots of coaches are trying to sell him on their ability to develop him into a legit NBA prospect.

Think Coleman Hawkins — NOT as he is today. But on what Coleman's promise likely was as an incoming Freshman — & where that's gotten him today. He'll be lucky to ever make it as even an average NBA reserve. But as a college player, he's turned himself into an impact player just about every program wanted as a leader on their team.
