The other possibility is that those two schools try to create a whole new conference made up of a mix of ACC, Big-12, and maybe a G5 or two.

I suspect that the idea of FSU being in the same conference as UCF is highly distasteful to FSU.

That said, more likely, they take a Big12 deal and view it as a temporary stop.
