This is such a terrible argument. Chose to make yourself stupid and then say you
were stupid so your choices don’t count as much.
Society accepts it as an excuse because they all want to drink as well but it’s a terrible argument.
But I do agree that 10 years for not hurting anyone is way too much. Now if they did hurt someone that’s a different story.
