but most of East Asia, Western Europe, and North America will inevitably suffer the same fate. It will just take a bit longer.

South Korea is committing suicide by firearm, if you will. Most of the rest of the developed world is committing suicide by slashing their wrists, or ingesting pills. In the end, the result is the same.
