IIRC, for folk village you needed to take a bus or taxi to/from train station. We stayed till closing and had challenge
getting back because buses aren't picking up later and you gotta find taxi

Personally, I'd visit Gyeongbokgung Palace, take the USO tour to the DMZ, visit the Jogyesa Buddest Temple, definitely

Thumbs up on all the above, but two of the five are small trips outside Seoul, wasn't sure he was willing to do that.

Both trips are easy to make though. The DMZ tour originates in Seoul and the Korean Folk Villiage is accessible by train
