I have an uncle
He’s the only LDS sibling my dad has of 7 kids. He has a large family. He’s like 74 now so has great grandkids. He’s moved all over the country for work. Currently lives in a different state than most of the family. About three years ago we wrangled most of the family to agree to have a reunion. My dad's side is like GOT they fought over money. This person likes x but hates Y. Well during that ordeal of them fighting over a large estate the uncle would be quite preaching. Always tried to bring people together but would call out other’s bad actions. At the time I thought it was nice of him. He’s been a bishop before and could talk to people. Talked about bringing the family back together.

My dad had organized the reunion and owned a big business in the area. One day he’s selling something to a man and he notices our very unique last name. He’s like I'm your nephew. Shows my dad the DNA report and text to my uncle. He’s been trying for yr to talk to him. Uncle had never told his kids or wife. He had known for years. Upended the reunion as my dad privately texted his brother this wrong.

My uncle tells his kids that there is a guy pretending to be his child for money😂 The man in question… turns out lives 1 Street from my house. I've met him. He’s the twin of my uncle. Looks more like him than the kids he raised. Lives in a huge house. Travels the world great guy. Just wanted to meet the family.

We lost an uncle bc he couldn't own it and decades judge everyone. I do admire how he tried to bring people together from their mistakes but bounced the second his were exposed. Half his kids have embraced their new sibling. Half think it’s a money grab/false😂 despite him never asking for money and being his twin.

Just one more story for the thread. Go DNA kits
