She wasn't at all active in the church at the time and I guess when through quite a repentance process when she later returned. She has had lifelong guilt about it. She ended up divorcing her husband, my wife's father (the one who raised her), who was a life long alcoholic and largely a non-entity as a husband and father. She later married in the temple and has had a wonderful life with the gospel at its center.
