I think the B10/ACC also required 1. BYU used to be able to fulfill that spot for those three conferences.

Back in 2015 the Big12 announced that specific SOS requirement, but I've no idea

I think leagues have backed off of that since that was done only to increase SOS and likelihood of accessing the 4 team
