first of all it was a big sacrifice for him to do it, because he was super busy. Second, there was no Ute propaganda or even veiled BYU jabs. He just gave an inspirational message that was spiritually pitch perfect and the youth, who were mostly BYU fans, loved it.
At the end all of the BYU-loyal adults looked at each other, shrugged our shoulders and said, “he’s impossible to hate, dang it.”
This was before the incident, which I thought Utah handled so terribly that I thought/hoped it would give us a shot at him. Alas that didn’t happen.
But I will always be a Morgan Scalley fan.
