I read a few threads, and nothing against his dad but could it be possibly he was drowned?

Another post said the camp never actually saw the kid come. He and his dad supposedly showed up late, camped away a little so asnot to wake annyone and got up early to fish. Did anyone ever confirm seeing the boy at all at camp?
