There has definitely been an uptick in more quality recruits being committed over the last few seasons. Hopefully we can continue on an upward trajectory because I think it was apparent to everyone that our depth was NOT where it needs to be to be competitive in the Big 12 this last season.

When looking at the numbers, I failed to consider players who have signed but haven't (yet) enrolled. This doesn't really change the numbers much at all from 2021 and earlier, but in 2022 and 2023 we signed 9 players rated 86 or higher each year, and signed 12 in 2024. I'm assuming some of those players were mission-first kids, and that others (at least from this year's class) simply haven't enrolled yet but will prior to fall camp starting. Of course, that still points to a significant uptick in recruit quality starting in 2022.
