Because it is obvious that someone would use super-strong, double-sided tape to
adhere the carrier to the roof. They advertise it as "extra strong, double-thick and incredibly tough. ... the double-thick adhesive remains strong, whatever it faces. Designed to be tearable, developed to be durable, Gorilla Tape stands up to the test."
Gorilla Tape did not clearly "stand up to the test" here. Clear case of false advertising.

not a reverse. The commercial had applications on a car. Guess that was just Hollywood camera tricks.
