I do long bike rides. I don't like its effect.
Pumps me up temporarily but I don't like the jittery feeling I get, or the crash as it wears off. I gave it up years ago. I could see it may be helpful for a weight trainer to have extra oomph to make it through a set.

Are we talking weight training? If so, yes. Very beneficial.

Yes. Studies show a caffeine is beneficial but I think they also show continued use decrease the benefits.

I can see that. For me it has the most dramatic effect at the end of long rides

Caffeine does nothing to me. Everything else in pre-workouts is not helpful
