in keeping the P12 together. Utah fans were all following the P12 negotiations closely.
That said, a solid portion of BYU fans and Big 12 fans, including a few with huge X followings, were claiming that a few Utah twitter comments, coupled with BYU's dominance of the Utah market and a few recent OOC losses, were leading factors as to why the B12 was going to pass on Utah.
That Utah wasn't accretive enough.
Yet Utah admin was claiming a long standing B12 invite and felt they could join at anytime.
While both sides made their arguments, it became evident Utah was always on the table...and a dream target for Yormark.
Then B12 fans moved to this idea that Utah would have a hard time in the new conference.
While that is yet to be seen, several factors imply Utah should be a strong contender annually. That seems to be supported by recruiting rankings, recent W/L success vs. annual opponents, current rankings / projections throughout CFB media and Vegas betting odds.
Seems like the Utah fans seem to be consistently more accurate and more in tune.
