I'm not so sure I would have considered him to have a solid spot on TCUs team for the '25 season. The '24 season he had a spot, but he played the #5 position and only avg .215. For a team like TCU...they can easily find someone that can hit better and he was one of their weak spots in the hitting lineup. I think he just saw the writing on the wall and knew he could drop down to a team like BYU where the incoming competition won't be as competitive as TCU.
