Was killed right in front of them by a woman turning her SUV left into the neighboring shopping center. I was scouring the local newspaper site for details. I didn't see any for a week, when I read an article stating that it was one of three motorcycle deaths by left hand turn (two SUVs and a garbage truck) alone THAT WEEK, all within 25 minutes of my house.
In other words, motorcycle deaths are so common in Florida that they don't even get reported individually. 😢 In fact, a member of our Spanish Ward pulled out last year on a right hand turn from our chapel in front of a motorcyclist, who died and it never even made it in any media. All that I've seen public is the sad cross in our parking lot.
